Summary: I have supported organizations in building data management systems that capture the impact of their work. Projects I've completed within these roles include participatory logic modeling, survey development, data management and program evaluation. Below are a couple case studies from that work.
Participatory Logic Model Workshop: As a part this organization's goal to improve their evaluation capacity, I worked with the fundraising manager to run a Participatory Logic Model workshop. During this workshop, we reviewed the definition of a logic model, the importance of having one, and how to identify each component. The workshop was interactive and we engaged all staff in a brainstorming process that resulted in a first draft of their organization's logic model. I then worked with leadership to revise that logic model and present a public version under the impact section on their website. A more detailed internal version, is now in use as the organization works to improve how it measures the identified outcomes.
Program Monitoring Survey: To ensure training quality, I worked with program staff to establish pre- and post-training surveys to evaluate knowledge increases and collect feedback on presentation format, style, length, and content. I provided the training team support in developing strategies to increase response rates and trained staff in use of tools to collect live feedback from participants during workshops. These efforts improved their overall program evaluation efforts, increasing the consistency which which staff reported key performance indicators such as learning objectives and increases in participant confidence, knowledge check scores, and attendance rates for each training.
